  • Welcome to Germany portal „Make it in Germany“ - “Make it in Germany” is the multilingual “Welcome to Germany” portal for international qualified professionals. The portal posts current vacancies in occupations where there is a labor shortage and provides general information about working and living in Germany, for instance regarding the application process, visa questions, insurance, German business etiquette and much more.
  • The portal "Facts about Germany" offers up-to-date statistics, facts and information about Germany. The handbook "Facts about Germany" offers exhaustive basic information and numerous points of orientation – all specially designed with international readers in mind. In nine chapters, “Facts” conveys a basic understanding of German society and shows which models and solutions are being discussed in a time of social and political change. The new edition focuses in particular on contemporary issues – historical and institutional references are only addressed briefly.
  • If you are looking for information about contemporary German history, you might want to have a look at the timeline published by the Federal Agency for Civic Education. This timeline is a Do-It-Yourself poster of two meters in length that illustrates major events in German history. It begins at the start of World War I in 1914 and proceeds through to German reunification in 1990.

  • Experteer - Experteer describes itself as "Europe’s premium career and recruitment marketplace, used by 5 million executives and professionals ready for their next career move."
  • Meine Stadt - With "Meine Stadt" you have access to numerous job listings all around Germany.
  • Regis Online - REGIS Online is the Business Partner Platform for northwest Germany. The portal supports the companies in the region in their activities and helps establish more collaborations between local, national and international business players.
  • Consultants.de (only in German) - This website offers you tips and information regarding job research, application, interviews and career in general.
  • efinancialcareers - This job portal is specialized in the fields of finance, banking, accounting and insurance.
  • Adzuna - Adzuna offers a huge variety of job vacancies in Germany, combining search results of multiple search engines. Targeted search on locations and profiles is possible.

  • Professional recognition - The Federal Ministry of Education and Research offers this easy tool to determine if your diplomas (acquired in another country) are officially recognized.
  • Visa requirements, health care & insurance etc. - To access the German labor market, foreign nationals (depending on country of origin) might have to obtain a visa. You will find information on this topic on this website.
  • Wage indicator - Information about wage levels in numerous professional fields
  • Local foreign nationals' registration authority (Ausländerbehörde) Eichstätt or Ingolstadt - The "Ausländerbehörde" is the primary official department that deals with all questions regarding foreign nationals staying in Germany. In general, it is the "Ausländerbehörde" at your place of residence that you will need to consult.
