The Language Center at a glance

The Language Center offers foreign language courses for all degree programs. Our entire course structure is bound to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The foreign language education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt consists of following domains:

Modern Languages

The Language Center offers language courses and cultural studies. The corresponding exams will be carried out by the Language Center as well. In these degree programs, language courses are usually compulsory modules or compulsory optional modules.

- Flexible Bachelor and flexible Master programs
- Interdisciplinary Bachelor of Latin America Studies
- Bachelor of Journalism
- German-French program of study in politics (Bachelor and Master)


 

Students of all faculties

These courses are open to all students who want to learn a new foreign language or want to improve language knowledge. Furthermore the courses are open to all students, which are going to spend one or more semesters abroad. In addition, we offer modules, which can be taken as compulsory or compulsory optional modules in BA or MA degree programs.


 

German for foreign studentsOur German courses are meant for all exchange students who are going to study at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt for one or more semesters. Additionally, we offer German language courses and modules, which can also be participated by the regular students.
Language courses at the School of Management in IngolstadtThe language courses at the School of Management in Ingolstadt consist of preparation courses for business languages in spanish, french and chinese (German-Chinese Bachelor) and of general foreign language courses.
Language courses for the Faculty of Social Work (FH)At the faculty of Social Work the Language Center offers "Business English for Social Work" and other foreign languages required by students (e.g. French, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish).
