Tasks and Goals

The Center for Flight and Migration sees itself as a mediator between academia and society. It publicizes research projects and publications by KU researchers on topics related to flight and migration, runs its own projects, and offers its support to researchers and to professionals from practical fields who are interested in collaboration.

Education & Coaching

In addition to developing and running modules and courses that focus on flight, migration, and integration, the Center designs educational concepts for various different target groups. It supports international applicants who have experienced flight through its Study Coach for Refugees, provides financial support, and acts as a mediator between KU departments and students.

Dialogue & Transfer

The Center for Flight and Migration organizes academic and cultural activities that promote dialogue. These activities as based on four formats: interreligious dialogue, academic dialogue, intercultural dialogue, and international dialogue. They include initiatives such as church services with representatives of different denominations, research stays for students, platforms for academic exchange, and support for practical projects.
