The master specialization in Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation allows students to become directly involved in finding solutions for social challenges and to contribute to sustainable reforms.
The Bayer Cares Foundation supports innovations and social commitment and is a forum for progress and innovation. Each year the foundation honors projects, which provide innovative solutions for social challenges in the fields of health and nutrition and which contribute to improvements within both fields and thus provide a benefit for society.
Each year, a prize will be awarded for five projects that excel in high innovative strength, excellence in the execution, chance for improvement, impact for society, entrepreneurial spirit and related to the Bayer motto of “Science for a Better Life”.
All master students in the study specialization of “Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation” will meet the winners during a boot camp that lasts several days. Afterwards they work together in teams on the presentation, written composition as well as on the implementation and evaluation of the projects – a unique and exclusive opportunity for students to help form international and innovative social projects at an earlier stage.
The Aspirin Social Innovation Award has an international focus and supports social innovations in the fields of health and nutrition that fill the supply gap and have the potential to realize systemic change.
Within Grants4Impact Bayer honors five innovators every two years in the fields of health & nutrition and provides seed funding in the amount of one billion euros. The aim is to develop the projects further and to increase their range. Grants4Impact enables social pioneers worldwide to gain access to capital, knowledge and networks in order to realize the projects’ full potential and to increase their impact.
