    Students who decide on the study program international business administration complete the first four, respectively five semesters in Germany. According to the cooperation partner the students spend the following three or four semesters at one of the renowned Chinese universities Sun Yat-sen or Tongji. In the last semester they finish their bachelor thesis, which has to be written and defended in English.

    The study program of the four-year studies comprises 240 ECTS from which at least 120 ECTS are obtained at the WFI and at least 60 ECTS at the partner university abroad. The bachelor thesis and an internship as well as an internship report are part of the studies.

     

    Mandatory area

    In the first three semesters the students of double bachelor program gain the basic knowledge of business administration. In this connection topics of business administration, economics, legislation, quantitative methods and busine

     

    Compulsory elective area

    The compulsory elective modules from the 4th semester add up to 140 ECTS. They are supposed to give the students the opportunity to specialize in one of five core themes and further to adjust the module selection

    Majors

    The students of the bachelor programs business administration and International Business Administration get the opportunity to specialize in the following major fields of study.

    • Economy and Psychology
    • Management and Marketing
    • Financial Management
    • Supply Chain and Information Management
    • Business and Economics

    Chinese

    In the study program international business administration the students achieve a profound knowledge of the Chinese language to be perfectly prepared in linguistic and cultural regards for their time abroad.

    In the third and fourth semester students of international business administration attend a course of business Chinese for 2,5 hours a week.

    Business languages

    The WFI especially supports the foreign-language skills of its students. Besides Chinese students have the opportunity to choose one of the offered business languages (English, French or Spanish). Further, many lectures are given in English to improve the intercultural abilities.

    The English language is specifically relevant to students of international business administration since their lectures in China are given in English and additionally they are supposed to write and defend their bachelor thesis in English.     Compulory Internship

    Students have to complete a compulsory internship with a minimum of 8 weeks during their studies. Based on the internship report the compulsory internship will be graded "passed" or "failed" and will be credited with 10 ECTS.

    Application: partner university

    After the successful application to the German-Chinese double degree study program, students have to fulfill the formal criteria at the partner university.

    Chinese in China

    At the partner university students attend further Chinese courses (each 4 ECTS) and a seminar about Chinese regional studies (8 ECTS)
