Teaching – a key part of the Human Geography Group’s work

Equipping young people with knowledge and skills in human geography is a key part of our work. Our teaching builds on the KU’s long tradition of training human geographers. In the past, generations of students obtained their Diplom degrees in Human Geography with a specialization in Leisure, Tourism, and Environment here. Since the University introduced Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs as part of the Bologna process, we have continued to provide our students with an excellent education in our Bachelor of Science program in Geography with a specialization in Leisure, Tourism, and Environment and our Master of Science program in Tourism and Regional Planning – Management and Geography.

Human geography in the Bachelor’s degree program in Geography

Master’s degree program in Tourism and Regional Planning – Management and Geography

Human geography is one of the main elements of the Master’s degree program in Tourism and Regional Planning – Management and Geography. This program is run by the chairs of Economic and Social Policy, Tourism, and Human Geography at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, with assistance from the Economic Geography team.

The three chairs work together on the concept, development, and implementation of the program to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of current issues in the different areas of study and research that are covered in the program. Due to crossovers with other Master’s degree programs, such as the Business Administration program, our students work closely with other departments, allowing them to benefit from an interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge.
