Short résumé

Since 2015, Daniel Mark Eberhard is Professor of Music Education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. After having worked as a teacher at different schools and as lecturer and research associate in the higher education sector, he become temporary professor at the University of Augsburg and visiting professor of music education at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK),  the largest art school in Europe and one of the largest and most diversified universities of the arts in the world. He is the author of far more than 100 specialist publications and an internationally renowned speaker in the field of music teacher education and different areas of extracurricular music education. In addition to being active in different committees and associations at university, state and national level, he works as reviewer and juror and is the degree program coordinator for the Master’s program “Inclusive Music Education/Community Music” which is unique in Europe. His artistic work as a musician and ensemble director is documented on more than 40 CDs and DVDs. Together with renowned artists, he gave performances at international classical and jazz music festivals and was the founder of the Uni Big Band Augsburg that was also led by him for 12 years. In addition, Daniel Mark Eberhard was artistic director of a live production of the German TV station ZDF and he is active as endorsement artist for several global instrument manufacturers. He has been awarded several prizes for his artistic and educational work.
