Current Research Training Groups

“Research training groups are institutions of the University and must as such be set up by the responsible committees in accordance with university law. Such action requires a resolution of the Presidium in accordance with Section 11 para. 2 sentence 2 no. 10 Basic Rules as well as a subsequent resolution of the Senate in accordance with Section 15 para. 5 sentence 1 no. 4 Basic Rules. All research training groups, irrespective of their funding, must be formally set up in this way. If research training groups are intended to receive third-party funding, it is advisable to obtain the necessary resolutions (subject to granting of third-party funding) in advance before the application is submitted to the sponsor.“

Research training group “Inklusive Bildung” (inclusive education)

The research training group for inclusive education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt is part of the joint project named “Inklusives Leben und Lernen in der Schule” (Inclusive living and learning at schools) at the KU which has received funding from the Freising Bishops’ Conference since 2014. Possibilities for an appreciative and competence-oriented approach to social diversity are examined in the partial projects of the joint project from different disciplinary perspectives and by using several methodological techniques. Approaches to realization as well as conditions for successful inclusion in schools and non-school places of learning are explored. The joint project thus actively engages in the current discourse surrounding the challenge of ‘inclusion’ which addresses the necessity for developing an enhanced understanding for the term inclusion. A distinctive feature of the project group are the individual partial project groups with disciplinary orientation which develop and reflect on their own research assumptions, areas of expertise and specific methodology in scientific exchange both among each other and with external experts.
