The focus of this research area is, for example, the investigation of the influence of religious norms and values on family structure and on the nature, extent and quality of family interactions. In the foreground is the implication of religious guidelines for family behavior and their implementation in the everyday practice of families. Against the background of declining birth rates, increasing divorce rates, apparently declining parenting skills and new forms of life and family life, the social implications of these changes are also examined.
