Biography
- Study of librarianship, Romance and German language and literature in Stuttgart, Tours and Paris
- 1992 Awarded the Prize “Friends of the University of Stuttgart for special scientific achievements” for the master's thesis, which was revised and expanded after the doctoral thesis
- 1992-1993 Study and research stay in Paris
- Doctoral Degree 1993 at the University of Stuttgart with a thesis on the French novel in the second half of the 20th century
- 1993-1996 Teaching classes at the universities of Stuttgart, Halle and Marburg
- 1997-2004 Research assistant and, after her habilitation, senior assistant at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster
- There at the end of 2001 she gained her habilitation with a thesis on the Kirke myth in the literature of the Italian Renaissance
- 2002-2003 Research stay in Venice
- 2004-2009 Professor of Romance Literatures at the University of Konstanz
