Studying in Eichstätt

Eichstätt is situated at the heart of Bavaria. With a population of around 13,400, it is the smallest university town in Europe. This means that KU students based in Eichstätt benefit from a friendly atmosphere not only on campus but also around the town. Whether it is on the way to a lecture in the morning, in a café in the afternoon or in the pub in the evening, you will often come across people you know. It is easy to meet people in Eichstätt.

Ingolstadt ist nach München die zweitgrößte Stadt Oberbayerns. Von klassischen Konzerten im AUDI Forum, studentischen Veranstaltungen, bis zu typisch bayerischen Volksfesten wird viel geboten.

It may not be a big city but Eichstätt still has plenty to offer with a range of pubs, beer gardens, clubs, and concerts, as well as a theater and a variety of activities organized by students. Ingolstadt is just a 20 minute drive away. The city offers culture lovers an excellent theater, a wide range of concerts, and traditional beer festivals. The KU also runs a variety of sports courses and has its own choir, big band, theater group, and much more.
