Awards for outstanding achievements in the Masters program

At this year’s graduation ceremony at WFI, two students of the Assistant professorship of Operations Management have been awarded for the outstanding achievements during their master studies.

Lilian Xalter received the award of the city of Ingolstadt for the best master degree (with top grade 1.0). She wrote her master thesis under the supervision of Prof. Pirmin Fontaine on the topic of “On-demand bus planning: Development of a mathematical model and a solution method for solving a case study”. Mrs. Xalter, also scholar of the Bavarian EliteAcademy, is working now as strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. We are happy for her award  and wish her a lot of success for her future.

Besides Mrs. Xalter, also Johannes Gückel could successfully complete his master degree with top grade 1.0. Mr. Gückel, who wrote his final thesis at the chair of Prof. Kuhn is now PhD student  at the Assistant Professorship of Operations Management. In his research, he investigates cost and resource allocation mechanisms for urban logistics concepts and is already collaborating with well-known international researchers. We are happy that he decided to continue in academia and wish him there a lot of success as well.
