Biography

After his training in banking, Dr. Stefan Gros (*1964) studied law and economics at the University of Cologne and the University of Freiburg. During his PhD, Dr. Gros worked as research associate for the Chair of Finance at the Universities of Cologne and Leipzig. Furthermore, he participated in management programs at the IMD, Lausanne and INSEAD, Fontainebleau.

Dr. Gros started his professional career at the department of finance at Mannesmann and Infineon. Since 2010, Dr. Gros has been working for international family businesses, private equity investors and listed companies. This includes, among others, programs of accretion, IPOs, M&A transactions, internationalization, transformation and digitisation topics. Currently, he is the commercial manager of an international food company.

Dr. Gros is guest lecturer for the course “Business Valuation” at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, former member of the advisory board at a large German bank, and founding member of the task force M&A of the Schmalenbachgesellschaft für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. Between 2006 and 2011, he was a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany (ASCG).

Dr. Gros published many articles covering, among others, topics of strategic cost-, performance- and working capital management as well as the increase of company value through M&A transactions.
