Part-time position as research associate

The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) is a non-state university under church leadership and officially recognized by the Free State of Bavaria. The Chair of Social and Health Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education invites applications for a part-time position (50%) as

 

research associate (Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/-in (m/w/d))

 

 

to be filled by the earliest possible starting date, initially for a limited period of two years with the envisaged option of an extension. The place of work shall be Eichstätt. Provided that the requirements are met, remuneration in the private-law employment relationship will be according to the pay grade E 13 TV-L.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the research practice, including ongoing research projects and acquiring new research projects
  • Contributing to academic publications and attending conferences
  • Teaching duties within the subject area of the Chair of Social and Health Pedagogy (2.5 course hours (LVS) in accordance with the German Academic Workload Guidelines (LUFV))
  • Supervisory and examination duties
  • Collaboration in the development of existing and new degree programs
  • Willingness to engage in academic self-administration is required
  • Qualification objective: doctoral degree or habilitation

 

Your profile

  • Completed university degree (Diplom, Magister, Master’s or similar) in education and/or social sciences: preferably social pedagogy, health pedagogy, social work, psychology
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with empirical research methods and statistical data analysis (including SPSS or similar programs)
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of German is a basic requirement
  • Independent, actively creative work style and organizational talent
  • Team-oriented work style and motivation
