Dr. McFarland is presently a faculty member for the Learning Facilitator course. She has worked with JWL as a faculty member in two courses. She has been at JWL for two years. She is currently serving as affiliate faculty at Regis University in Denver, Colorado and was the lead faculty area chair at the University of Phoenix, Denver, Colorado location for five years. Dr. McFarland received her doctorate from the University of Phoenix and completed her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at the University of Colorado in Elementary Education, Psychology, and Special Education.  At the present time, her focus is in her current role as an assistant principal at RISE High School in Denver, Colorado. At RISE, scholars from marginalized communities are provided with high-level college preparatory coursework enabling them to be prepared to flourish in the college of their choice.
