Welcome to the homepage of the International Office!


The International Office (IO) of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) is a service facility of the office of the President and as such your first point of contact in case of any questions about internationalization. You will find the IO on both campuses (Eichstätt and Ingolstadt). On our pages, you will find information about the international offer of the KU.

Dr. Martin Groos, who has been leading the International Office since 1994, has taken over the position of office manager and strategic consultant to the chairman of the Foundation Council at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt as of
November 1, 2017.

The team at the International Office would like to thank Dr. Groos for the many good years spent working together.

Prof. Dr. Klaus Stüwe, vice president for international affairs and profile development, can be contacted for strategic questions.

Thomas Grubauer (thomas.grubauer(at)ku.de) will act as the contact person for all operational matters on an interim basis, and the contact persons listed on the IO web pages are available for questions about their respective areas of responsibility (www.ku.de/en/international/teamcontact/).


One-year scholarships for students from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe for the academic year 2018/19 via BAYHOST

The Free State of Bavaria invites applications for its one-year scholarship program for students from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe for the academic year 2018/19 via BAYHOST. Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine are eligible to apply.

The scholarships are meant to finance postgraduate studies (i.e. master’s programs) and PhDs at Bavarian universities. Annual scholarships can be extended twice for up to 3 years; the scholarship amount 735,--€ per month. One-year study sojourns in Bavaria as part of a PhD in the home country can also be funded.
