For the fourth semester, the following English-language courses are offered in the summer, which you can choose as a module for your respective focus area or the general elective area:
You can choose freely from the modules listed below according to your interests. Our recommendations are highlighted in bold in the list:
If you are interested in one of the modules 'Digital Seminar in Data Science & Quantitative Applications' or 'Digital-Project':
Topic assignment for both modules is already on Thu, 22 February 2024, 4 pm, NB207 (Prof. Heinrich Kuhn)
Probability Theory (5 ECTS)
For further (possibly German-language) modules, please refer to the module handbook or the compulsory elective catalog.
Please let me know by email raphael.schulz(at)ku.de if you are interested in one of the focus areas 'Digital Transformation of Society' or 'Finance and Economics'.
The following Studium.Pro module will also be offered in the coming summer semester:
According to the examination regulations, 10 ECTS must be acquired for an internship of at least 8 weeks in industry or in a research group at a university. A 5-10 page internship report must be written. We recommend doing the internship around the fifth semester. A suitable period is therefore, for example, the lecture-free period during the summer break. You should try to find a suitable internship early on.
The KU Career Center provides information on internships in Germany and abroad. In addition, workshops and lectures are offered on the topics of applying for jobs at home and abroad, acquiring skills and personal development. The events provide personal and professional orientation and are free of charge. We recommend taking part in an application training course for your internship
