Promoting young researchers at the KU

The Graduate Academy of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt wants to offer young researchers the best possible conditions for a successful doctorate and post-doctorate phase. As a central institute of our University, it is open to all doctoral candidates, supervisors as well as post-doctorate researchers. At the same time, it is a framework organization across all faculties for existing research training groups and research associations. It sees itself as an open institution with high research standards. The KU Graduate Academy is kindly supported by the Pädagogische Stiftung Cassianeum Donauwörth.

Using an innovative approach, it aims to combine the following:

a) teaching professional skills and providing personal development opportunities (employability) and

b) ensuring young researchers have the required methodological skills for academic work (in collaboration with the Methods Service Center).

These two elements are complemented by

c) opportunities and formats for all disciplines in which, for example, current research discourses are drawn on, explained, and discussed, outstanding researchers from certain disciplines are invited to advanced seminars and reading courses, and annual or biannual lecture series are organized on specific topics (advanced studies).
