Campus and student life

The compact campuses in both locations save students and lecturers a lot of time and stress. The KU’s buildings in Eichstätt were planned according to the campus principle and are situated on the edge of the old town. Although the University has grown and expanded in the meantime, everything you need is still never more than a ten-minute walk away. There are several green spaces on campus, such as the Hofgarten, that are ideal places to relax, some of which are maintained by students, like the Kapuzinerkloster garden.

The campus in Ingolstadt, home to the Ingolstadt School of Management (WFI), consists of one large and one smaller building separated by a peaceful courtyard where students and lecturers meet and chat outside of lecturers. If you prefer to spend your breaks in town, Ingolstadt’s city center is just a few minutes’ walk away.

The locations

In Eichstätt you will never have to worry about whether you will get a place in a seminar or spend ages standing in line to speak to a lecturer during their office hours. Here students benefit from courses that are held in small groups, close contacts with lecturers, and a compact campus. Ingolstadt is the second largest city in Upper Bavaria after Munich and is around 30 minutes away from the Bavarian capital. From classical concerts to student events and typical Bavarian beer festivals, there is plenty to see and do. [More...]
