If you are interested in one of our latest topic areas and you meet the three requirements, please send the following documents and your completed form (Excel file) to Mrs. Wachslander via e-mail:

  • Transcript of Records
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Form (only available in german)

After receiving your application documents, we will examine them and afterwards an employee of the chair will inform you whether you are allowed to write your thesis at the chair for Business Administration and Business Informatics.

If you received a confirmation, the first step is to contact your supervisor for an appointment. During this meeting the topics and the requirements for the thesis are specified more precisely. Furthermore, any open question can be clarified.

As a next step you have to write an exposé (length: 1-2 pages), that should contain the following:

  • Definition of the title
  • Problem of the thesis
  • Explanation of the research project and the research question
  • Methodology
  • List of sources

After the exposé and the outline have been discussed and the thesis has been registered, a maximum of three further appointments can be made with the supervisor. In addition, there will be an interim and a final presentation for Master's theses, at which Prof. Setzer will be present. For Bachelor's theses, there will only be a final presentation.

The template for LaTeX including author instructions and the template for the final presentation are provided individually.

If you email your completed thesis to the supervisor, put Ms. Waltraud Fischermeier on cc to inform the chair.
