Other student groups

In addition to the working groups and departments (those often contain "AK" or "-referat" in their names) of the Student Representatives Council there is also a number of independent University groups.

Another level of student representation outside the Student Representatives Council are the student groups. These represent the students of the individual subjects in subject-related and technical matters relating to their studies.

Some faculties also have departmental student bodies. These form the student representation at faculty level and consist of the faculty's subject groups and the student representatives in the faculty council. In faculties where there are no student bodies, only the student representatives in the faculty council take on this task.

Commitment fair

[Translate to Englisch:] Eindrücke von einer Erstimesse im Studihaus

Since the 2021 summer semester, the commitment fair has been held at the beginning of each semester, where all working groups and University groups can introduce themselves and all students have the opportunity to get involved.

The first commitment fair took place online via Zoom on April 23, 2021. Sorry you missed it? Never mind. Just get in contact with the student initiatives any time! Get in contact with the student initiatives any time! They are always happy to welcome new faces.

CaféCivil

CaféCivil is a digital space for casual exchange, which is intended to serve the student initiatives and subject student groups at the KU for networking and mutual support. Especially during the Corona pandemic, the conditions of commitment work have changed significantly. In times of digital teaching and social distancing, there is a great need for a space to exchange and CaféCivil wants to give you this opportunity!

It will take place on three dates in the summer semester:

  • Thursday, May 06, 2021
  • Thursday, June 10, 2021
  • Thursday, July 01, 2021

From 6.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

However, not only the student initiatives and subject groups of the KU are warmly invited to attend, but also all students who would like to get involved and do not yet know where to start, or those who have a project idea and are looking for support in the implementation.

We are looking forward to meeting you! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at engagement(at)ku.de!
