Young researchers at MIDS

On Tuesday, 23.04.2024, 12 little researchers from the St. Augustin Catholic Kindergarten were guests at MIDS. 
Together with Prof. Nadja Ray, the kindergarten children carried out mathematical experiments on the topic of data, such as data collection with colorful Smarties. The children were able to experience the use of random data when designing the random monster. Depending on the number of dice rolled, the monster was given a new body part. There was also an exciting excursion into the world of data encryption. The young researchers learned how to write their names using a cipher. 

We really enjoyed welcoming the children to MIDS and showing them the world of mathematics in a fun way.
