Welcome to the Department of Mathematics

Study mathematics in Eichstätt!

Studying mathematics in Eichstätt – whether it is in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or teaching degree program or as an exchange student – means benefiting from an excellent staff-to-student ratio, small working groups, plenty of opportunities to talk to professors and staff, and a compact campus. As a popular tourist destination and a small town with a high percentage of students, Eichstätt offers an excellent study environment. We offer our students first-class support and a welcoming atmosphere. There are currently around 250 students enrolled in our mathematics programs.

The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) is a state-approved university that is supported by a private foundation. It is open to students of all faiths and the degrees that it grants are equivalent to those awarded by state universities.

Studying mathematics in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or teaching degree program is a fascinating challenge with excellent career prospects. Motivated mathematicians are in high demand in business and industry. Due to the current shortage of mathematics teachers, the subject is also attractive for students of teaching degree programs.

All programs start in the winter semester. Our professors, staff, and students look forward to welcoming you to our department!
