Accessibility

The KU is a "University for all". This means that it is very important to us to also make our digital offerings accessible to all interested parties. We therefore endeavor to make our website as accessible as possible and are in a constant process of improvement. Any ideas or suggestions you may have are much appreciated: If you encounter any obstacles or problems on our pages, please report them to the contact persons listed below.

Declaration on accessibility

We endeavor to make our website accessible in accordance with the Bavarian regulation on electronic administration and barrier-free information technology (BayEGovV) .

This accessibility statement applies to all websites including the subdomains under https://www.ku.de and the corresponding subpages.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The majority of these websites comply with Section 1 BayEGovV. Any contents that do not comply with this are listed below.

Non-accessible content:

  • Films in sign language for navigating the website and explaining accessibility are currently not available.
  • The hierarchy of headings is sometimes not adhered to.
  • Some of the documents uploaded to the website are not available in an accessible version.
  • In many cases, subtitles or audio descriptions are not yet available for the embedded videos.
Justification:

The KU website is very extensive, so unfortunately errors cannot be completely avoided. Due to the workload, the aforementioned non-accessible content has not yet been redesigned. However, we are continuously working on improving the website in this respect. Some of the embedded PDF documents were created before September 23, 2018, and are therefore not up to date in terms of accessibility. We are working on a gradual changeover here. The same applies to the provision of subtitles for the embedded videos. This process is already underway, but could not yet be completed due to the large size of the video archive.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This declaration was prepared on February 7, 2022, as a self-assessment supported by third parties. It was last updated on May 30, 2022.
