Around 250 new students started their studies at the Ingolstadt campus of the KU on Tuesday. Dean Prof. Dr. André Habisch congratulated the new students on their decision to enroll at the traditional welcoming ceremony of the Ingolstadt School of Management (WFI) and highlighted the special study conditions: "We have an excellent staff-to-student ratio – and relationship."

The commitment of individuals plays an important role at the KU, said Habisch. He therefore recommended taking a closer look at the various working groups and organizations at the WFI: "Get involved and make the most of your choice!" Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Reinald Koch also confirmed that the students had made a good choice with the WFI and referred to the KU's triple award as the most popular University in Germany. Koch particularly emphasized the friendly atmosphere: "We don't have mass lectures. Small course sizes allow us to provide you with individual support", he invited the new students: "Simply come talk to us, our doors are always open." Prof. Dr. Shashi Matta, Vice Dean for Internationalization, made the new students aware that the contacts made during their studies form a valuable network – this is important for their entire career, because success is always an achievement of groups.

The freshers were able to start networking immediately after the ceremony: The official welcome was followed by a get-together with the old students and lecturers in the WFI's garden space “Obstgarten”. At the same time, this was also the starting signal for new enrollments in the Bachelor’s program in Data Science at the Ingolstadt campus. Program speaker Prof. Dr. Nadja Ray is delighted to welcome more than 50 new, mainly international students.
