Entitled “Strengthening Democracy in Higher Education through Service-Learning and Civic Engagement,” the conference invites representatives from academia, education, and civil society to share their experiences. The focus is on how service-learning can contribute to strengthening democratic competencies and building resilient democratic societies.
The programme is divided in three tracks:
- Didactical Methods for Effective Democracy Education
- Service-learning institutionalization in higher education
- Future Educational Goals and Curriculum Development
The conference is organized by the European Association of Service-Learning in Higher Education (EASLHE) in cooperation with the Higher Education Network Education through Responsibility and the Erasmus+ project SL4DC.
Submissions may be in the form of papers, posters, or workshops. The deadline for submissions is April 19, 2026.
