This week, the department of Operations used the semester break for the groups hiking trip and a research workshop. We discussed recent research findings in on-demand bis planning, slow logistics, transportation and shelf planning in retail, and production automation. The used methodologies are machine learning, mixed-integer linear programming and simulation.
Further, we spent a great time with fantastic hiking weather hiking up to the Rehleitenkopf via the Hohe Asten Alm.
