"Prof. Waldinger, does nature have a price tag?"

In the series “Ask the KU Profs,” experts from the KU explain current research findings from their field in an exciting and approachable way. Professor Maria Waldinger from the Department of Economics, specializing in Sustainable Economic Policy, explains why climate change is so difficult to stop and how we can better adapt to it.

In the video, Prof. Waldinger uses basic economic principles to explain why nature plays a special role in many decisions, why climate protection is so difficult, and what options are available for better dealing with the consequences of climate change.

“In economics and politics, things only have value if they cost money."
