On 8.9.2022, after a two-year break due to the Corona-pandemic, the workshop "Family and Service - Effects of the Corona Pandemic and the War in Ukraine on Soldiers' Families" took place with the participation of the ZFG. The invitation was issued by the Bundestag's Commissioner for the Armed Forces, Dr Eva Högl, the Catholic Military Bishops' Office and the Protestant Church Office for the Armed Forces.
As part of the event, Peggy Puhl-Regler and Alexandra Ressel gave a talk on the topic of "Children's fears - conversations about war, deployments and the role of parents as soldiers".
The two ZFG staff members took the opportunity to present the children's books "Lena and Dad's Deployment Abroad" and "Lena and Mom's Deployment Abroad" to the Bundestag Commissioner for the Armed Forces.
