It’s back-to-school season, and we celebrated two special events with students and faculty in the WFI garden on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Around 70 students – including students from the master’s specialization ENTRE (Entrepreneurship & Innovation), the student organization WFI Entrepreneurs, and members of the Student Council - and members of the faculty, joined us for the first annual award reception of the WFI Entrepreneur of the Year. The event featured a close-knit get-together of current and incoming ENTRE students, networking, fun, and a variety of regional food and drinks. Speaking at the event, Professors Andre Habisch and Shashi Matta emphasized the invaluable role of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the world today, and congratulated students for being part of this specialization at WFI.
Hearty congratulations to WFI alumnus, Mr. Fabian Foelsch, for receiving the first WFI Entrepreneur of the Year Award, for his outstanding accomplishments as CEO and Co-Founder of BRAINEFFECT. In a special video message, Mr. Foelsch credited his time at and learning from WFI for his successful journey and highlighted the importance of “giving back.”
