Four WFI students attended the EY Tax Talent Days in Berlin on 9 and 10 December. Participation in this exclusive event is already a great success: our students beat around 200 other applicants for the 45 places available!
A varied programme awaited them over the two days. During a guided tour of the German Bundestag, the participants gained a unique insight into the decision-making process of tax policy and discussed current tax issues with Mr Christoph Wicher (tax advisor to the CDU parliamentary group) and Ms Julia Bossmann (tax advisor to the FDP parliamentary group). Barcamp sessions were held to present EY's various services and to discuss specific topics. A presentation on EY's tax technology offered a glimpse into the future of tax innovation. There was also plenty of opportunity to socialise and network with other participants during a round of curling in the evening.
