Accessible campus

Architectural accessibility

[Translate to Englisch:] Studierende im Rollstuhl

In recent years, various construction projects have made the KU campus more accessible in many areas. However, due in part to the presence of many historic buildings, not all university buildings are yet fully accessible. By clicking on the individual buildings on the campus map, you can view information regarding their accessibility.
Unfortunately, there is no tactile guidance system available. We recommend taking a mobility orientation tour of all major building areas.
If necessary, seminar rooms may be swapped to ensure accessibility. For this, please contact raumanfragen(at)ku.de. A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available (the map showing the accessible parking spaces is still being updated).

Library

The library staff is happy to assist students with disabilities or special needs in using the reading rooms and accessing the library’s collections. You can find information and contact details here (in German).

Campus Life and Leisure

During the day, student life mainly takes place on campus. Some evening activities may not be accessible to people with disabilities, so it is recommended that you check the accessibility requirements in advance.
