The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Seitwerk GmbH, and Jesuit Worldwide Learning (JWL) have been working together successfully for many years to educate young people in refugee camps and conflict zones using blended e-learning formats. In other words, they have been doing on a professional basis for years precisely what schools are currently facing as a new challenge: designing digital and interactive lessons.
This presents schools and teachers with new challenges in various ways. Schools now have many helpful tools at their disposal, but in addition to the technical provision, training is also necessary in terms of the specific didactic implementation options. This is where the following offer comes in:
Over four weeks, course participants will learn about different teaching methods and how to implement them using digital tools. The focus is on the parallel, direct implementation of what has been learned in order to make learning more effective and sustainable for students in the current situation. The training program therefore introduces tools and focuses on directly testing what has been learned in practice.
The course is aimed at all teachers of all school types, regardless of the subject they teach. The focus of this course is on the didactically meaningful use of digital learning environments. After successfully completing the four weeks of the course, participants receive an official certificate of attendance.
This course is structured independently of any specific learning platform. Each week of the course, a specific teaching concept for the use of one of the tools presented in teaching practice is developed, then tried out and constructively refined through reflection and feedback from the online supervisors.
