Elisabeth dreams of a more sustainable future. She wants to help make this dream a reality: “I want to work for a sustainable company later on, so that I can integrate my personal interest in sustainability into my professional life.”
To achieve this goal, Elisabeth is studying at the Ingolstadt School of Management at the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in the Master's program in Business Administration with a focus on finance, accounting, controlling, taxation, and business law—FACT for short. “What I particularly like about my major is the diversity, as it gives me the opportunity to learn even more about different topics in my studies.” Many of her courses also focus on sustainability.
To gain even more expertise in this area, Elisabeth is attending the “Sustainable Economy” lecture series as part of Studium.Pro. The format offers KU students the opportunity to look beyond their own horizons in their specialized studies and thus develop their personalities in line with their own interests.
Elisabeth is also taking the additional course in sustainable development. This program gives students the opportunity to delve deeper into future issues related to climate change, migration, global injustices, digitalization, globalization, and biodiversity loss, and to link them to their specialized studies. They acquire knowledge and skills for their future careers and for helping to shape sustainable development. “This allows me to delve even deeper into the topic of sustainability and earn an additional certificate.”
Elisabeth also spends a lot of her free time focusing on sustainability: “What I really like here at the University is the campus life, the friendly atmosphere, and especially the opportunity to get involved. I am part of the student organization Denk Nachhaltig (Think Sustainably). We are trying to bring more sustainability to the University.”
With her choice of study program and her involvement on campus, Elisabeth is getting closer and closer to her big dream: a more sustainable future.
