Common case of confusion 6: Registration of voluntary work

Events that can lead to registration of voluntary work

At the KU, it is possible to have completed voluntary work listed in the Diploma Supplement as part of the degree.

In order to register your voluntary work for inclusion in the Diploma Supplement, you must prove that you have been involved in at least 90 hours of university-related activities during your studies at the KU and that these activities cannot be confirmed by certificates, work references or similar.

Procedure if voluntary work is to be registered

If you would like your voluntary work to be included in the certificate and have questions regarding the process, please contact the board of examiners responsible for your degree program directly, which will decide on the entry of the voluntary work in the Diploma Supplement upon request.

You can request the registration of voluntary work using the application form for entry of voluntary work in the Diploma Supplement. This does not constitute a credit transfer request.

The application for entry in the Diploma Supplement approved by the board of examiners must be submitted to the Examinations Office together with the certificate application for your degree program. You can request issuance of your final academic record by submitting a certificate application that is available on your degree program website.

So, registering voluntary work does not constitute recognition or credit transfer.
