Arts and culture

Members of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt are committed to art and culture in their studies and teaching as well as in their free time - from students to the university leadership. The KU offers a wide range of activities in the fields of art, music and theatre.

UniMusik - Ensembles and Events

The large ensembles, bands and chamber music groups have for many years formed the musical offerings for members of the KU and external interested parties - and are an integral part of the musical and cultural life of the university and the region. In addition to the regular musical organization of university celebrations and church services, numerous own event formats have been established such as children's concerts or the new format "Thank god it`s Friday" in the cafeteria in Eichstätt.

University Art Gallery - Art Exhibitions

In the University Art Gallery students design and realize their own exhibitions. This includes the selection of artistic works and curatorial conception, exhibition setup and dismantling, art handling as well as public and press relations. At vernissages and guided tours, they try out art-pedagogical forms of action and gain experience in opening speeches and vernissage programs as well as in contemporary, recipient-sensitive art education.

KUmödianten - the KU theatre group

The KUmödianten are primarily employees and students of the KU, who have one thing in common: Fun with theater, with trying out voice, movement and role-playing. Every year at the beginning of the winter semester, the group rehearses a new play, which traditionally premieres in May of the following year.
