By car

When you are heading towards Eichstätt from northwest or Ingolstadt, use the B 13. When traveling to Eichstätt on the motorway A 9 from Nuremberg, please use the exit “Altmühltal” and follow the “Jurahochstraße” (E 21) to Eichstätt for approx. 20 minutes. When coming from Munich on the A 9, please use the exit “Lenting” and follow the road signs.

You can reach our Ingolstadt campus via the motorway A 9 using the exit “Ingolstadt Nord”. Follow the signs leading to the city center (“Stadtmitte”). Stay on “Goethestraße” for approx. 1.5 km. Please do not follow the sign “Universität”, but follow the directions for the parking garage “P Münster”. After the underpass, please turn into the second road on the right “Östliche Ringstraße”. Please follow the “Ringstraße” for 1 km. Prepare to turn left after the Esso gas station (on the right) and turn left at the next opportunity into “Friedhofstraße” (in the direction of parking garage Münster). After 200m, you will see a brick building on your left (youth hostel). Directly after this building, you will see the driveway leading to the University parking lot.

By train

Eichstätt is located halfway between Nuremberg and Munich on the railway line between Treuchtlingen and Ingolstadt. The station “Eichstätt Bahnhof” is connected to the city station “Eichstätt Stadt” by a local train (distance 5 km). Please make sure to purchase a ticket to “Eichstätt Stadt”. From there, it’s a 10 minute walk to the University (in the direction of the city center).

Ingolstadt is located on the Munich - Nuremberg railway line. From the main railway station, you can take the bus to the university building in about 15 minutes. To do this, take the number 44 bus and get off at the "Kreuztor" stop.

By plane

Munich Airport is located in the northeast of Munich. There is an hourly shuttle bus service between Munich Airport and Ingolstadt (Ingolstadt Airport Express X109) that takes approx. 1 hour. From the airport, you can also reach Eichstätt and Ingolstadt by train in 1.5 to 2 hours.

Nuremberg Airport is located north of the city. From the airport, you can take the subway line 2 that will take you to Nuremberg main station in twelve minutes; from there, you can take the regional train to Eichstätt or the ICE or Munich-Nuremberg Express to Ingolstadt.
