Barrier-free access to both parts of the building is possible via the entrance door of the new building. The entrance door is heavy, so assistance may be required to open it. Rooms 001, 002, and 005 on the ground floor of the building have a threshold of 7 cm.
Access to the first floor is free of steps (elevator dimensions: 90 cm wide, 125 cm deep), but assistance may be required to open the heavy doors. Please note that the turning area at the elevator exit on the first floor is narrow, with a width of 1.20 m.
The second floor can only be reached via steps. Students with walking disabilities who wish to attend office hours in the relevant area of the building should contact the relevant lecturers to use another room.
A barrier-free toilet is located on the ground floor of the new building. The nearest barrier-free parking space is in the Waisenhaus car park. Unfortunately, there is currently no guidance system or Braille door signs available.
