When selecting the candidates, the Capital editors interview politicians, top officials, managers, entrepreneurs, consultants and its own former laureates. The magazine has published its “Top 40 under 40” annually since 2007. Meanwhile a network of more than 800 former prize winners has developed, bringing together gifted people from all kinds of disciplines. Capital magazine accompanies the award winners on their career journeys and invites all members to a summit in Berlin once a year.
The newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) has also honored Professor Langenmayr’s academic achievements more than once in the past and keeps her in its list of top 100 German economists. Her research focuses on the influence of taxes on corporate decisions and international aspects of taxation. She is also the spokeswoman of the KU Research Institute for Taxation at the KU Ingolstadt School of Management (WFI). This year, professor Langenmayr was elected to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Federal Ministry of Finance (wissenschaftlicher Beirat des Finanzministeriums), one of the most renowned and influential economic advisory bodies in Germany.
