By choosing their Master's degree program, students lay the foundation for their professional future and make an important decision for their future career path. In addition to the three Master's degree courses, the Ingolstadt School of Management (WFI) now offers its students three further areas for specializing their studies. "We want to give our students the opportunity to ideally prepare for their desired career. In doing so, we specifically address current social and economic topics that will become even more important in the years to come", explains Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Reinald Koch.
Let’s take a building analogy: Imagine the Bachelor's degree is the shell of the building and the Master's degree is the expansion of your personal educational building, the newly offered supplementary programs are the individual interior design that rounds off the profile, Koch describes the goal of the specialization options. This also involves very personal decisions about the future, strengths and interests.
The supplementary program in "Sustainability in Business" aims to train students to become competent multipliers of sustainable corporate management. "Sustainable practices are becoming increasingly important in the modern economy", says Prof. Dr. Alexander Danzer, holder of the Chair of Economics and Microeconomics. As former Dean of Studies, he played a leading role in the development of the three supplementary programs and established the specialization option in his field of expertise. According to Danzer, the supplementary course prepares students who want to work towards a sustainable future for the economy for the current and future requirements of companies. "Graduates have the opportunity to take over a meaningful role in the transformation towards a more sustainable economy."
At a time when digitalization is increasingly permeating all areas of the economy, the supplementary course in "Digitalization in Business" trains students to become experts in digital corporate management. This specialization meets the growing demands of modern companies in a wide range of industries and fields of activity in which digital ways of thinking and action are becoming increasingly important. The supplementary course in "Digitalization in Business" is aimed at all Master's students of the Ingolstadt School of Management who would like to contribute to the digital future of business. Graduates are prepared to take on a key role in the digital transformation of companies and lead them into the digital era.
The third supplementary program is aimed at students who are interested in management consulting and would like to gain deeper insights and industry-specific knowledge during their Master's degree. The “Consulting Badge Program” prepares students specifically for a career in management consulting. Through a combination of specialized courses and direct contact with consultants from leading consulting firms such as Bain & Company, Deloitte, BearingPoint, Simon Kucher and Capgemini, there is the opportunity to gain insights into the industry and become part of a network.
The application phase for the Master's degree programs offered at the Ingolstadt School of Management at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt starts on December 1, 2024.
