Participants could choose between two courses: Under the title "Experiencing Germany and Bavaria", some of the students devoted themselves to regional studies in particular. In small groups, they met interview partners in Eichstätt, researched specific topics and presented their findings to the course group. Students with an advanced level of German could alternatively attend the course "Artificial Intelligence in Literature and Film" and study German-language literature and films on the subject of AI, from classics such as E.T.A Hoffmann's "The Sandman" and Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" to modern works such as Elias Hirschl's "Content".
The range of courses on German language and culture was supplemented by additional workshops on subjects such as scenic play and community music. Two excursions to Ingolstadt and Bamberg were also part of the program.
In short interviews, the students revealed what they liked best, which German word they find the most complicated and what their favorite German dish is. Excerpts of our interviews are shown below.
