Higher education learning at the KU

Studierende in Bibliothek

“At the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, we are committed to offering our students excellent opportunities for academic qualification.” (Mission statement for studies and teaching at the KU)

At KU, we are convinced that good teaching and regular continuing education in the field of university teaching methodology go hand in hand. Therefore, all KU lecturers (professors, research assistants, lecturers, etc.) have the opportunity to participate in free continuing education courses in the field of university teaching methodology. You can find an overview of the entire range of continuing education and professional development courses offered by the department here: LIFELONG LEARNING - Our continuing education offer

We maintain a strong network with all Bavarian universities as far as university teaching methodologies are concerned since 2004. As an associated partner in the ‘ProfiLehrePlus’ program, we can provide our employees with access to all events in the program ( PLP seminars).

Lecturers at KU also have access to the extensive course program of the Bavarian Center for Innovative Teaching in Ingolstadt (Program: BayZIel seminars). Although a fee must be paid for participation in the courses (fee for external participants), the seminar fees are covered by KU funds. For this purpose, participants must submit an approval request form for a training trip (can be found on the intranet at "Personal von A bis Z") and, after approval, this must be submitted together with the invoice to Division I/5 Business and Training Trips .
