Registering for Mobility Online
At the KU, you can apply for different programs for studying abroad:
- WORLDWIDE (outside Europe - not bound to subject level): Application deadline: 28 October 2024 until 18 November 2024
- Erasmus+ (within Europe - bound to subject level): Application deadline: 9 December 2024 until 15 January 2025
- Faculty programs (Switzerland & outside Europe - bound to subject area): Application deadline: 9 December 2024 until 15 January 2025
Please note: These deadlines are cut-off deadlines!
For all stays abroad in the context of university and Erasmus+ cooperations and Erasmus+ funding for internships abroad, you need to register via our online portal Mobility Online. Free movers can register on a voluntary basis.
Application process step-by-step
- Fill in and submit the online application before expiry of the application deadline using the corresponding link „First-time access for ONLINE APPLICATION“
- Upload and submit further required application documents using the link that you have received by e-mail or the link „ACCESS Mobility Online“
- Selection of applicants and approval/rejection
Please note:
- If you register for the first time, please use the link “First-time access for online application”.
- Once you have successfully submitted your application, please use the link "Access Mobility Online".
- You can check the status of your application in the “Workflow” (WF) at any time. Other documents that still need to be submitted or next steps are also listed in the Workflow. Of course, you cannot activate the checkbox “Application documents complete” yourself. This is done by the International Office AFTER your documents have been reviewed.
If you want to update your application documents or need to take additional steps in your Workflow, please only use the link "ACCESS MOBILITY ONLINE"
Technical notes:
- When you enter the user ID, Mobility Online distinguishes between upper and lower case!
- In case you forget your password, you must change it at the KU web service!
- Authentication is always effected with the KU user ID (for example ggs1234 and the corresponding password).

Free movers
- Access to ONLINE REGISTRATION (registration form)
- Students applying for a PROMOS scholarship in the context of a self-organized stay abroad still need to register online here.
Erasmus+ internship funding
- Access to ONLINE REGISTRATION (registration form) The application must have been submitted to the International Office in full at least two weeks BEFORE the start of the internship.
