German courses for foreign students during the semester - summer semester 2025
All German courses at the language center start on Monday, April 28, 2025
The language center offers a differentiated German program during the semester at levels A1 to C1. All courses have a modular structure and are awarded 3 or 5 ECTS points.

Participation in the CLASSIFICATION TEST is mandatory for all newly enrolled students when they register for the German courses. In the winter semester 2024/25 this is a freely accessible online placement test:

Depending on your level, you can register for the German courses via KU.Campus after the test.

0% - 28% 0 - 69 A1
29% - 62 % 70 - 150 A2
63% - 77% 151 - 185 B1
78% - 91% 186 - 220 B2
92% - 100% 221 - 240 C1
Exceptions: You are not required to take the Placement Test if you:
- participated in one of the Pre-semester intensive German courses before the beginning of the semester, or
- are a student who has already completed completed German A1, German A2, German B1, German B2 or German C1 at the Language Center.
Depending on your level, you can register for the German courses via KU.Campus after the test.
