Language Learning Online
In our "Virtual Shelf" you will find links to online courses, to grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary exercises, to listening comprehension, to writing and to cultural studies, as well as to print and audio media. The links are assigned to the different languages and are intended to support you in learning on your own, and in designing autonomous learning processes.
This collection of links refers to websites over whose content the Language Center of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt has no influence. No liability is assumed for the content or design of the linked pages.

We have also provided a list of links for you to learn languages with audiovisual media (audiovisuellen Medien) and to take self-assessment tests on the Internet (Selbsteinstufungstests im Internet).

Virtual University of Bavaria
Another possibility to learn languages online is offered by the Virtual University of Bavaria (vhb): https://kurse.vhb.org/VHBPORTAL/kursprogramm/kursprogramm.jsp?School=12
You will find the links to the language courses of the vhb in the respective language of the virtual shelf.
In principle, you can also acquire ECTS-credits for the language courses. However, you must have this recognized by us at the KU.
Before taking a vhb language course, you should contact the language center, Dr. Susanne Schäfer.
Tandem Partnership
Welcome to our language tandem programme!
A language partner offers the opportunity to improve language skills and to interact with a tandem partner in another language.
Tandem partners help each other learn their native language.
You not only improve your language skills, but also learn a lot about another culture.
The Tandem exchange at KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt establishes contact between those interested after the tandem online application form has been filled out.
If a suitable partner is found, you will be given his contact details and you can arrange a time to meet up. Please note that in the case of certain languages it can take some time for an appropriate language partner to be found.
