The Chair of Tourism mourns the loss of Prof Jana Kucerova. She lost the fight against a severe illness. As a professor of tourism at Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, she was a close cooperation partner of the Chair of Tourism, but also of the Faculty of Mathematics and Geography and Ingolstadt School of Management. She co-founded and co-planned our Master's program "Tourism and Sustainable Regional Development", and almost every year she came to Eichstätt and Ingolstadt within the ERASMUS partnership to visit her exchange students and to maintain contacts. Most recently, she was back in Eichstätt in 2018 as part of the ERASMUS faculty mobility and in January 2019 for the 10th anniversary celebration of the Master's program. We keep the honorable memory of her and continuously develop the Master's program in her spirit.
