KU Open Day 2025: Insights into the Master's degree in “Tourism and Sustainable Regional Development”

At the Open Day at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt on May 24, 2025, interested parties had the opportunity to find out more about the Master's degree course “Tourism and Sustainable Regional Development - Management and Geography”.

At the information stand of the Chair of Tourism, questions could be asked, first impressions gathered and personal discussions held. The Master's program is characterized by its interdisciplinary nature. The program combines content from tourism, regional development, entrepreneurship and economics. The close integration of these subject areas is a central component of the study concept.

The program is complemented by cooperation with universities, associations and companies in Germany and abroad. International guest lectures, topic-related excursions and joint projects add practical perspectives to the academic education. It is also possible to obtain a further degree at a foreign partner university as part of a double degree program.

The Master prepares students for various professional fields of activity - including destination management, regional and urban development, tour operators, consulting, research and business start-ups. A voluntary mentoring program supports individual career orientation and offers access to a network of experts from the field.

Applications for the Master's degree in Tourism and Sustainable Regional Development - Management and Geography can be submitted via the KU application portal until the 15th of June, 2025.
