With Pope Francis' 2017 encyclical "Veritatis Gaudium", Catholic colleges and universities are faced with a reformed educational mission that opens up and also demands a certain new understanding of education for academic work. The realization of this expanded mission of Catholic universities through the principles of a globalized solidarity, a new dialogicity, a more decisive inter- and transdisciplinarity as well as a new network work, should show "solutions on a higher level", which brings a "mysticism of the we" in the divided global world on the way for a humanization of the one world.

In a new cooperation with the "Jesuit Worldwide Learning" project, the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt dares to implement this mission in an international educational offensive for people in marginalized contexts in refugee camps.
