In this study, epistemic emotions (e.g., curiosity, confusion) and achievement emotions (e.g., pride, anger) were examined in teacher education students across different situations after they were confronted with their educational misconceptions. The research also investigated how such emotional responses influenced the students’ subsequent exploration of knowledge. Finally, the study tested whether individual emotion and exploration processes at the situational level could be generalized across all participants.
