The Young Researchers Day 2020, which took place in virtual form on October 7, 2020, exceeded all expectations with over 100 registrations!

In lectures and discussions young researchers of the KU were able to inform themselves about various topics. A workshop on the topic "Habilitation, Habilitation procedure and Habilitation equivalence" for postdoctoral researchers also attracted numerous participants. Many colleagues from the administrative, teaching and research departments were available for information and advice.

One of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion with alumnae of the KU on the topic "International mobility in academic careers".

In this context, Prof. Dr. Britta Kägler, Chair of Bavarian History, University of Passau (formerly NTNU Bergen) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. habil Franzisca Weder, Senior Lecturer, School of Communication and Arts, University of Queensland, spoke about the most important and formative turning points in their careers.

Another highlight of the day was the film competition "90Seconds", which took place for the second time. Young scientists were invited to present their research topic in a short film. Benedikt Winkel, liturgy scholar, was able to convince the audience with his presentation in the live vote.

We congratulate on the successful contribution!
